Blogging led to Andrea travelling to Washington for Obama's inauguration and covering the auspicious event for Orange News (News section of Orange.co.uk), as well as being interviewed by a leading American national news programme about the British perspective on Obama.  Blogging about her time in Malaysia led to writing articles for the world's leading jazz website (Jazz.com).

Specialising in entertainment, lifestyle and women’s content for the web, Andrea is a freelance journalist and blogger who has written and edited features, reviews, opinion pieces, news stories and more for the likes of AOL, MSN.co.uk, Orange.co.uk and IPC Media.

In 2008, when she finally grew tired of writing about Cheryl Cole’s shoes (and therefore tired of life), she became the main blogger on the American election-watching/Barack Obama-supporting blog England For Obama. And all that hard work paid off, it seems.

Her personal blog about working as a jazz singer in Malaysia – Lost In Transposition – was described by American website Jazz.com as "one of the best blogs out there", and not just because it had a picture of her bottom at the top.

Andrea has also been singing professionally for six years. Her self-produced debut album Photograph was released in April 2009, and within weeks had reached number two in the HMV Japan jazz chart.

“A silky and romantic singing voice… Andrea Mann represents the next generation of female vocalists.” Tower Records

Andrea will talk about blogging, new media and how it felt to be in Washington at such an important time in history. www.andreamann.com
